Katarina gångbro
Katarina gångbro (formerly known as Mosebackebron) is a pedestrian footbridge on Södermalm in Stockholm, Sweden. It spans Katarinavägen at a height of nearly 26 metres, connecting Mosebacke torg and Urvädersgränd with the former KF building and Katarinahissen. The bridge stretches a total distance of 100 metres, with the bridge structure itself measuring 90 metres in length and carrying a 3.5-metre wide deck of concrete slabs.
A pedestrian connection on this site existed from the inauguration of the original Katarina lift in 1883, initially as an iron truss structure. This was demolished in 1933 during the reconstruction of the Slussen traffic interchange. The current bridge was completed in 1936, designed by architects Eskil Sundahl and Olof Thunström of the Cooperative Union's architectural office, alongside the adjacent KF building. The bridge has three spans, the longest measuring 34 metres over Katarinavägen.
