Järnpojke - Iron Boy
Järnpojke — also called Iron Boy and known in English as “the little boy who looks at the Moon” — is a small sculpture in Gamla Stan, Stockholm. Created by Swedish artist Liss Eriksson, the figure stands just 15 centimetres (5.9 inches) tall, making it the smallest public monument in the city.
Although Eriksson made the sculpture in 1954, it was not installed at its current location until 1967. It can be found tucked away behind the Finnish Church, only a short distance from Stockholm Palace, though its hidden setting makes it easy to miss.
During the winter months, the tiny statue is often dressed in a small hat and scarf.
