M/S Emelie
M/S Emelie is a charming and historic ferry that has become a beloved part of Stockholm's waterborne transport network. Built in 1931 and extensively renovated in 2010 and 2014, the vessel has been serving various routes in Stockholm since 1991. Operated by Ressel Rederi AB, it runs between Hammarby Sjöstad, Masthamnen, Djurgården, and Nybroplan, weaving through some of the city's most scenic waterways. The ferry offers a fast and beautiful journey with plenty of room for prams, wheelchairs, and bicycles, and its large sundeck provides a wonderful sightseeing experience from the water. For tourists arriving in Stockholm via Viking Line or international cruise ships, travelling with Emelie is a significant shortcut and time-saver compared to a bus or taxi journey across the city. More than just a practical transport link, M/S Emelie is considered a hidden gem — a slow, scenic way to appreciate Stockholm's extraordinary relationship with the water that surrounds it.
