Barfüsserplatz
Barfüsserplatz is located in the center of the Swiss city of Basel. With eight streetcar lines running through it, the square is one of the city's most important streetcar hubs.
Barfüsserplatz is located in front of the Barfüsser Church. Gerbergasse, the actual valley street of the old town, Falknerstrasse, which emerged from the Birsig overpass in 1900, Streitgasse, the connection to Freie Strasse, Steinenberg and Kohlenberg, the streets in the location of the trenches of the first ring of walls and Steinenvorstadt, Basel's entertainment street, all lead into the square. The unofficial name used in French-speaking countries is Place des Cordeliers.
