Manhattan Bridge from Brooklyn Bridge
The Manhattan Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the East River in New York City, linking Lower Manhattan at Canal Street with Downtown Brooklyn at the Flatbush Avenue Extension. Created by architect Leon Moisseiff and constructed by the Phoenix Bridge Company, the bridge measures 6,855 feet (2,089 meters) in length. It is one of four toll-free vehicular bridges that connect Manhattan Island to Long Island; the Brooklyn Bridge is located a bit farther west, while the Queensboro and Williamsburg bridges are situated to the north.
