The Winter Garden Theatre is a Broadway theater located at 1634 Broadway in New York City. The theater has a seating capacity of 1,622 and was originally built in 1911. It was designed by architect William Albert Swasey in the Beaux-Arts style. Over the years, the theater has been home to many famous productions, including the original Broadway productions of "Annie," "The Phantom of the Opera," and "Mamma Mia!" The theater is currently owned by the Shubert Organization and is used for a variety of productions, including musicals and plays.
