The Carnival Fountain (also: Tinguely Fountain or Carnaval) is a fountain created by the artist Jean Tinguely and is located on Theaterplatz in the Swiss city of Basel. It was built between 1975 and 1977 on the site of the stage of the old, demolished city theater and was a gift from the 50-year-old Migros trading cooperative to the city of Basel. It is a new landmark for Basel, but is not a listed building.
