The third generation Mini was launched by BMW in November 2013, with sales beginning in 2014. The car is larger than its predecessor, offering more interior space and a bigger boot. Six new engines are available, including four petrol and two diesel options, paired with either a 6-speed manual, automatic, or sports automatic gearbox. The new MINI 5-door version, offering more space and similar performance to the 3-door, is exclusively assembled at Plant Oxford. The Cooper S was later joined by the high-performance John Cooper Works model in 2015. In 2018, a new dual-clutch transmission improved efficiency and emissions.
