Sutton Park, Midtown East

Sutton Parks consists of five small parks situated along the East River near Sutton Place, which is found on York Avenue between 53rd and 59th Streets. Initially referred to as Five Parks, they were renamed in 1997 by Commissioner Stern in honor of Effingham B. Sutton (1817–1891), the businessman responsible for the development of the area.
