Elevated Acre - 55 Water Street

The Elevated Acre is a privately owned public space situated about 30 feet (9.1 meters) above street level, accessible via escalators and stairs from Water Street, located between the two wings of the building. Spanning approximately 40,000 square feet (3,700 square meters or 0.92 acres), it is one of the few elevated POPS in New York City, alongside similar spaces at locations such as One Bankers Trust Plaza, 300 East 59th Street, 622 Third Avenue, Murray Hill Mews, and Trump Tower. The establishment of this public area enabled developers to exceed the zoning limits for total square footage at 55 Water Street. A parking garage is located beneath the plaza.
