Winter Garden Atrium, Brookfield Place
The Winter Garden Atrium is a glass-roofed pavilion that rises 120 feet (37 m) over ten stories, located on Vesey Street within New York City's Brookfield Place (previously known as the World Financial Center). Designed by Diana Balmori, the Atrium was initially built in 1988 and underwent significant reconstruction in 2002 following damage from the World Trade Center collapse during the September 11 attacks. It features a variety of plants, trees, flowers, and retail shops. At the back, it connects to the World Financial Center Plaza and the North Cove Yacht Harbor along the Hudson River. Throughout the years, the Atrium has hosted numerous exhibits and holiday displays.
