Wiener Riesenrad in the Wurstelprater amusement park

The Wiener Riesenrad, often referred to simply as the Riesenrad, is a Ferris wheel that stands 64.75 meters (212 feet) tall at the entrance of the Prater amusement park in Leopoldstadt, the second district of Vienna, Austria. This iconic attraction is among the most visited in the city and serves as a symbol for both the district and Vienna as a whole. Built in 1897, it held the title of the tallest operating Ferris wheel in the world from 1920 until 1985.
