DAF's 95 series was launched in 1987, quickly taking the coveted title of International Truck of the Year 1988. The 95 featured an all new cab developed jointly with ENASA of Spain, a revised version of the 11.6 litre ATI engine, rated at 310, 350, and 380 Bhp, and 16 speed ZF gearbox. On the Continent Eaton's Twinsplitter gearbox was an option. A full range of axle configurations were offered, to suit every operating requirement. Much attention was paid to soundproofing - the gearlinkage for example was telescopic - the 95 series being quieter in-cab than many luxury cars! An update in 1991 saw new ratings of 329, 364, and 401 Bhp, - a 430 Bhp variant, along with low deck tractor unit models and interior changes were introduced in Spring 1992.

Production of Scania 4-series was stopped after its successors P-series, R-series and G-series were starting in 2004.

The Škoda 100/110 were two variations of a rear-engined, rear-wheel drive car that was produced by Czechoslovakian manufacturer AZNP in Mladá Boleslav between 1969 and 1976. Engine sizes were 1.0 litre and 1.1 litre respectively. It was the first Škoda car being produced over a million units. Derived Škoda 110 R coupé (1970–1980), had outline similar to the Porsche of the time, with much lower price and performance.

The Tupolev Tu-134 (NATO reporting name: Crusty) is a twin-engined airliner, similar to the French Sud Aviation Caravelle and the later-designed American Douglas DC-9, and built in the Soviet Union from 1966 to 1984. The original version featured a glazed-nose design and, like certain other Russian airliners (including its sister model the Tu-154), it can operate from unpaved airfields.
